Hi Helen,
My name is Steve. I found your website and many others because I randomly decided to look up the words “keeper of the water” on google. Several years ago (perhaps 5 or 4?), I had a dream. In the dream I was running or moving through obstacles, like jungle terrain, earthquakes, moving water, etc… it was a kind of apocalypse sort of situation. In the dream someone was speaking to me in a Native American sounding language. I don’t remember the words now since it was so long ago. When it happened though I remembered the words and I told my girlfriend at that time the sounds or the foreign sounding words. She did some research and the closest thing we could find was “keeper of the water” or “keeper of the waters” and I feel like it said “find the keeper of the waters”. I didn’t feel like researching it then, but I just decided to look it up recently. I just thought it was really weird that my mind could just make up some native American language in my own head, and that it might have actually been real words that meant something. At the time I thought maybe it was just coincidence or some misunderstanding, but i guess at this time in my life I feel like exploring it. Does that mean anything to you or strike you as odd? Is there any kind of meaning behind “keeper of the waters”?
