Create a Living Dream Garden with Helen

How would you like to easily create a beautiful, living vision board like this that reminds you daily of your desires and goals and reflects your current state – a vibrant, organic anchor for your dreams, reminding you to stay in balance?

If you’re not recharging yourself daily, you’re probably running on empty. My life lesson as a psychotherapist for 37 years was that you could end up broken by nurturing others without filling yourself up first. I learned to create balance in my life through my Living Dream Gardens, and want to share my experience to help you also put an end to running on empty. Life should be about joy!

Spirit gave me the inspiration to create my Living Dream Gardens in 2006. It was a magical “aha” moment as I got a vision of interweaving my love of symbols with succulents, crystals, and power animals into beautiful, living creations. I realized that all these elements I loved could synergistically combine into a powerful “healing garden.” Later, as I learned about the Law of Attraction, I realized that I had created an “intention garden” – a living Vision Board. My tiny Garden packed with all things precious to me has lived on my bedroom altar ever since. It serves as a daily reminder that I matter – that I need to take care of ME before I can pass along my healing energies to others.

Out of years of disabling back pain came the unshakable commitment I now honor to stay in balance. I’ve figured out that my back is my barometer, and if it’s hurting, I’ve slipped into running on empty. I talk about this in my chapter in the internationally best-selling book Pebbles in the Pond Wave FourPebbles in the Pond Wave Four, “Put an End to Running on Empty: Bringing Back Balance for Over-Givers.”

My Living Dream Gardens are the best way I know to recharge, raising my vibration daily. I feel pure joy as I watch the succulents grow and bloom, and I’m enveloped by a sense of peace as I link to Source God in prayer, supported by the healing energies of my Gardens. There’s a 12 Step saying: “It works when you work it, and you’re worth it.” I had to decide once and for all that I was worth it.

My Living Dream Gardens help me each day to stay balanced. They give me something alive and beautiful to tend so I can be reminded of my own aliveness and beauty, and of the importance of slowing down and taking care of me.

From all my experiences, I’ve learned three things:

*You really DO matter just as much as everyone else.

*It takes dedication, effort, and focus to stay on a path of self-love.

*Creating a Living Dream Garden is a powerful step in the direction of self-care.

I will be interviewed on Facebook Live by KatyeAnna Clark about my Living Dream Gardens, then offering a two-part tele-seminar on Zoom teaching you how to build your Living Dream Garden.

In the class, I will share with you how to create and benefit from your own Living Dream Garden. It’s a simple, relaxing, and fun way to tend to yourself. I’ll give step-by-step instructions to create your Garden. In the meantime, I’ve created a special guided visualization to help you tap into the power and feeling of your own Living Dream Garden. You can watch it now by clicking here www.LiveandGrow.com/visualization.

Once you have your vision, the fun part is creating your own Living Dream Garden! This practice is first about envisioning, and then manifesting into reality that which you desire. You will create your own 3D living and growing vision board.

Please enter your email in the form, and I’ll let you know about the class and send you a pdf of my Top 10 Manifesting Helpers. You also can email me at helen@liveandgrow.com, or call me (805) 489-7131.

Blessings, Helen

Choose to Thrive! Let Go of the Past to Come Alive!

Choose to Thrive! Let Go of the Past to Come Alive.

Choose to Thrive! Bury the past to come alive

This photo was taken of me at Ozorezan in Japan. Ozorezan is the Gateway to Hell according to the Buddhists, and a sacred shrine in Northern Aomori Prefecture where souls must cross the river to reach the afterlife.

On this October day I came with a tour from Misawa Air Base where I was working as a mental health consultant to military families. Unexpected rain began to pour as we drove up, and everyone scattered for cover. I was quickly drenched as I passed through the entrance. The young Japanese tour guide and I strolled through the site, and she explained the meaning of the different areas as we walked. Despite the rain, the stench of sulphur permeated the air, and we crunched on volcanic grit, alert to the possibility of pit vipers. Truly it felt like we were walking through a living hell.

She explained about Mizuko Jizo, the kindly monk who helps dead babies and children to reincarnate successfully. Everywhere you look, there are statues of Mizuko Jizo, and piles of pebbles and pinwheels which grieving parents leave to help their children to cross the river and reincarnate safely. The young guide and I spoke about our own heavy hearts. My mother had died nine months earlier, and her father had recently passed. She told me I could erect my own little pile of stones for my mother on the beach of Lake Usori to help her rebirth.

Even though we both were soaking wet, we took time to erect our own piles for our beloved parents. I whispered words of love to my mom and amazingly the sun came out. Pure magic. We took photos of each other, and she kept remarking on how unusual that the sun had blessed us just as we finished our offerings.

Pebbles for Mom

This is my little beach creation for my mother. You don’t have to be Buddhist to recognize the power of love, and the hopes that those we care about will do well after they depart. I grew up a good Irish Catholic girl who sat in the back of my parish church on All Soul’s Day, saying a formula of prayers meant to release souls from Purgatory. Not so different.

Whatever is weighing down your heart as you read these words, choose to let go with love. Only then is it possible to feel alive and begin to thrive. You can create your own ceremony of letting go, perhaps writing a name in the sand and letting the tide carry it away. You can write a letter to someone who has hurt you and barbecue it, letting the wind carry your pain away. Please let me know what or of whom you are choosing to let go, and the ceremony you create. I will always carry my mother in my heart and memories. What I let go of that day was my heavy heart.

To Thrive, Look Closely To Find the Beauty In Life

LIVE AND GROW Posted on July 16, 2013 by Helen SherryJune 1, 2015

Bee in Cactus Flower

Sometimes we’re so busy and preoccupied that we don’t take time to look closely at the beauty around us. I was amazed to come out in the early morning and find these luscious blooms had emerged overnight on a prickly cactus.

I smiled and rushed by, going down to feed my insistently neighing horse in the corral below. Hurrying back up, with my To Do’s chanting in my head, I almost didn’t stoop to peer more closely. Can you see the bee in the flower on the left?

Suppose I didn’t look… or look again. Here’s the same view a day later.Wilted Cactus Flower

Beauty is ephemeral. We have to take the time to nurture our souls in small ways. Feeding our souls nurtures our creativity and helps us keep an upbeat attitude despite rushing and stress. Take time to live and grow and thrive so that you manifest your dreams.

Live and Grow and Thrive-Take Time To Sniff

LIVE AND GROW Posted on July 1, 2013 by Helen SherryJune 1, 2015

Showy red roses
One way to nurture your dreams- to live and grow and thrive- is by taking time for yourself each day. We are always told to stop and smell the roses, and these red beauties in the Village of Arroyo Grande near my office were stunning. I was proud of myself for stopping to sniff. But wait- no scent! I then tried two other beautiful blooming bushes. Nothing. I stooped to the lowly, plain white roses by the gate. small white roses
Beauty was in the nose of the beholder.

Take time to examine beyond the expected. Please let me know what you find!

This is Musical Rapture: A Healing Gift For Humanity by Joao Cota-Robles through Frederick Delarue. He says, “The frequency of this Celestial Music communicates with the Divine Intelligence of the body at a cellular level raising the consciousness of each cell. As the music soothes and comforts the cells, the body’s natural ability to heal itself is enhanced. ”

“This sacred music is compatible and works in harmony with every healing modality or medical treatment a person may choose to experience. The music resonates with an additional blessing for everyone who is dealing with any form of cancer.”

The complete  62 minute CD of Musical Rapture can be obtained for free on Patricia Cota-Robles’ website www.eraofpeace.org

Annoying or Awesome?

LIVE AND GROW Posted on April 1, 2013 by Helen SherryJune 1, 2015

As I sat at my computer writing, I heard a buzzing sound. Irritated, I was convinced somehow a fly had gotten into the room and was trapped behind the wooden slats of the mini-blinds. FlyI opened them a little further, and peered out. Instead of the anticipated black fly writhing, I saw a bee sipping lavendar nectar just outside my open window. When I took the time to look instead of pre-judging and just feeling annoyed, I was able to behold something awesome! Take the time for life. You might discover something unexpectedly wonderful.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAWonderful bee photo
